Pop Up
This studio lesson we focused on using pop-ups to show the Big Idea of Relationships. I chose to do the interior of a bedroom showing the relationship between foreground and background. I chose to have the bed as the actual pop up feature of this piece of art since the bed is normally the center and main focus of a bedroom.
I could incorporate this studio lesson in my own future classroom by incorporating this lesson into a literacy class. Having the students create their own story that goes along with their pop-up project. I can teach different types of stories - fables, folk tale, fairy tale or a myth and have the students create their own story and then create a pop-up project that goes along with their story.

Print Making
This studio lesson we focused on using print making to show the Big Idea of Relationships. I chose to show the relationship between people and food through my print making project. I used subtractive stamping to show this relationship. In this piece there are two young girls with a piece of cake in front of them. One of the young girls has a large piece with a huge smile on her face while the other young girl has a small piece of cake in front of her with a sad expression on her face. This picture depicts how food has an effect on how we feel and on our moods.
I could incorporate print making into my own classroom by having students create their own stamps and to show relationships in science - relationship between plants or animals or something as specific as the relationship between hot and cold.
